Welcome to HW-Rail!
We are Heriot-Watt University's newest student engineering team only starting up in the 2022/23 academic year, so we've got lots of exciting plans ahead of us. Our main goal is to compete successfully in the IMechE Railway challenge with a 10 1/4" gauge railway locomotive but we're also looking to provide opportunities to find out more about the benefits of a career in the rail industry.

We're always on the lookout for enthusiastic students who want to join the team. No prior railway engineering experience is required, just an enthusiasm for engineering and a willingness to learn on the job.
